Hi,
My user require that an "obsolete" functional area no longer appear in the dropdownbox for Functional Area (under Employment Preference of the Candidate Profile). I looked at the configuration and the only option presented is to delete the record. However, this would leave records in HRP5126 with orphaned information (HRP5126->FUNCTIONAL_AREA).
Digging a little deeper, in SPRO, when I go to Define Functional Areas (SAP E-Recruiting -> Recruitment -> Talent Warehouse -> Candidate -> Work Experience / Desired Employment), I found that there is an option to Change Field Contents...
When I select this option, it opens a Field Selection screen and I can choose between the following fields:
1. Name
2. No Relevance for Desired Job
I select the 2nd option, which opens a 2nd pop screen (Change field contents: Entry):
Replace cont. of No Relevance for Des
with val [ ]
I enter "X" and click on Replace. I'm informed that 1 entry has changed. However, when I look at the table T77RCF_FUNC, the field is still blank.
My questions are:
1. Will this field hide the obsolete record?
2. Why can't i update the field?
3. Is there another way of doing this?
